When it comes to holding your kids accountable, it is extremely important that the parents are a united front.
It is totally useless when one parent is always following through, or trying to follow through when the other parent is inconsistent. All this does is undo the work of the other parent. This also tends to make them the bad guy in the eyes of the child.
