United Front Against Mom
10/31/2016

I'm listening to Dr. Laura talk about how to handle your kids when arguing and I have to share what I used to do when my girls argued as children.

I would give them each a can of powdered household cleaner and then a brush and put them in the bathroom. I would tell them to scrub the bathtub TOGETHER until it was either shiny as per my expectation or until they were friends again.

It worked every time! We now laugh at it, especially when I hear the "behind the scenes" on how they felt. They would get so angry at each other but they would STILL want to be friends so that they could get out of the tub.

Moral of the story is: give them a very confined space and a job that they don't like and I can guarantee they will become a united front against you before you know it.
