Losing My Man

Dear Dr. Laura:

I want you to know "MY MAN" David. I lost him in February 2013 due to heart failure. Our union was of 36 years. This lovely man loved me and we made a happy home for our 5 children. He may have not always told me he loved me, but he always showed me he loved me. He never wavered in his responsibilities to his family. My husband was the most "honorable man' I've ever known and to this day, there will never be anyone else for me but him. I always say, "I was the lucky one!" This was our first Christmas without him, and needless to say a very rough time to get through. My advice for everyone out there looking for that one special person, is to know yourself and make a mental list of what you can and cannot accept in a mate. If you do not know yourself yet, than wait until you are sure of yourself.  I did and the second time around I chose very wisely. This decision was the success of our marriage and our children's future.

Sincerely,

Toni
