Overthinking And Kids

I was asked to help out at a daycare where my wife worked when we were first married due to staff shortage. At one point a 5-year-old boy came up to me, very upset.

"Teacher!" he says, "I'm a girl!" I looked at him and asked, "Are you a girl?" He looks at me a bit shocked by my response. The little boy then says, "No-o-o." I reply, "Well?" He shrugs, and says "Oh!" as he runs off with a sigh of relief.

I was an Uncle at 14-years-old and could never have children of my own. I am the proud uncle to 45 nephews and nieces, 80 great-nephews and nieces. I think, at times, that our responses to children's problems are over thought.

Thanks for recognizing and celebrating the importance of Children Family and Faith.
