Trying to Make My Husband Laugh Every Day

Hi, Dr. Laura,

Over the past few weeks, my husband has been working on a very intense project that consumes most of his time after he gets home from work. Although I miss our together time, I try very hard to maintain a positive perspective since the long hours are only until an upcoming deadline, and the purpose is so that he can move up at his current job. Plus, because he still comes home at 5 every day, I still get to make him yummy meals and see his adorable face!

When this busy time for us first began, I had the tendency to try and squeeze in as many stories and things about my day in the short period I had with him before we went to bed. But now, because of your show and your book "Proper Care & Feeding of Husbands," I have realized that what my stressed out, hardworking hubby needs most is not my rambling, but good orgasms and lots of giggles.

So, after we eat dinner together every night, I usually chase him around our house, and sometimes I pin him down and tickle him until he screams for mercy, and other times I pin him down and make him scream for other reasons. Ultimately, the goal is to make him smile every day, even at the expense of my own dignity! (Example: My husband just looked up from his computer at me, so I stood up from my chair and started doing the dance move "the sprinkler." He cracked up at my goofy dancing skills.)

Because of you, Dr. Laura, I wake up every day thinking about ways to make my husband smile and laugh, despite the less-than-desirable period of time we are in. Without you, I would probably be bitching and whining about the lack of attention I'm getting, but instead, I'm dancing around our house like a goof ball and having great sex with my husband.

Because of your guidance, I have come to the realization that there is nothing more wonderful and fulfilling than being a supportive wife to a man who is my hero.

Thanks for all you do!
