My Wake Up Call
My husband and I were traveling to a friend's house. In route, we needed fuel, so we pulled over to fill up. While my husband was fueling the car, I picked up his cell phone to browse on the internet since my current phone doesn't have internet access. When the browser launched, I saw a Google search for a popular porn site. My first reaction was anger and I planned to rip into him as soon as he got back into the car. When he did, I asked him about it and he denied knowing anything. I challenged him and said "phones don't Google search on their own." He wouldn't look at me and got very quiet. I knew I should let this go for now so this wouldn't ruin our afternoon with friends. In fact, I let it go for several days but put a lot of thought into it. At first I focused on my perception of him and how to approach him so we could have a discussion. I was preparing for battle at which I planned to sink his ship. Then I started thinking about why...why would he be looking at porn on his phone. Probably because it's the only time he could privately. Then I thought about the last time we were intimate and how often we are. I realized we're not very intimate and I was failing as his babe. So I decided the solution was to become his babe again. When he got from work, we were doing our usual small talk and he said he needed to start preparing for his PT test and I said "I can help you."
He replied "ohhh, I'm not into the workouts you do."
So I responded "I didn't mean that kind of workout *wink wink*." He gave me a big smile and I knew he was a more than willing participant.
He is a good man and I thank him for the wake-up call. I will continue to be my husband's babe and greatly appreciate your radio show Dr. Laura. Without your influence this situation could have been the beginning of the end.
