Doing Things In The Right Order
Hi Dr. Laura,
I am a long time listener and thought about calling you a few times in my life but have managed to 'do the right things' by learning from you. Thank You!!
I am a stay-home-mom of a 5 year old Kinder boy. He stayed home with me until now (no preschools) but he is a fluent reader for his age and a very happy, self-confident and vocal boy. One day, we were coming home from school. I think we were listening to the Phantom of the Opera CD. Then he asked me, "Mom, the girls born babies, right?" I knew what he was asking. So I replied, "Yes, the moms have the babies." Then he added, "Dads go to work and make money for the family like Daddy, right?" "But even before that, they have to get married first. I think I need a black outfit for that. And to get a job to make money, you have to go to school and have a college saver like me", he continued on. You see, he loves to talk his mind.
I was smiling listening to my 5 year old boy talking about doing things in the right order. My son's been listening to you since he was an infant. And I think it's working, the doing the right things.
