Good Guys Do Exist
For all of you who don't believe that there are good guys out there and that chivalry does not exist, then continue reading.
Women want to feel special ALL the time, but let's face it, that's a lot of work on the man's part. If he gave us flowers every day, then they would no longer mean anything. So after many, many months of not receiving any at all, and then you walk into your home after a long day at work and there are flowers sitting at the table with two poured glasses of wine, you melt in the perfectly cliched romance of it all. Let me paint you a picture.
Here I am, on a completely average day, no birthday or anniversary in sight, and I walk through the front door to lit candles everywhere, Irish music in the background, a beautiful arrangement of flowers on the table beside two poured glasses of an exquisite Merlot. And of course, there is my husband with a goofy grin on his face walking towards me to give me a kiss. I ask him what it is all for, and his answer, just simple and matter-a-fact "Because I love you and you are wonderful". Me? I'm thinking as I survey the cleaned up house with everything that I love candles, Irish music, fine wine, and above all else, the wonderful aroma of a good steak. It was then that I realized he was in the backyard, barbecuing a juicy, well-cut prime rib the size of my face. It was wonderful, of course, and practically melted in my mouth. After dinner I gave him the biggest hug and kiss I could muster, and said thank you about twenty times. I then promptly took my cue from the music and danced a giddy Irish jig in my high heels.....*sigh*... who knew men could be so wonderful? And let me tell you, I did feel special. Very loved indeed.
