Women Turn On The Charm and Sensuality, Lose the Anger!
Dr. Laura:
How to get my wife to soften and be calm is my dilemma. For years... no decades, actually... I've wondered how to get someone to convey to my wife the simple notion that she is leading with her wrong strength in our marriage as she struggles to convince me to get close to her. Alas, I understand that the more I try to convey such a simplistic message the more my wife dismisses it. After all, it's coming from me.
I met her and her two little daughters 36 years ago. Marrying her with those beautiful little girls was definitely a bonus. Some years later I adopted them as my own. I am proud of the years of sacrificing, working out of town meaningless jobs just to get by, trying to provide as a father must.
I'm a committed man who loves his kids, all 6 of them and I cannot walk away now. But, living with my wife is like living with a buzz saw. One never quite knows when the darn thing will go off. Surely, I've got improving to do, but I cannot imagine what brings a woman to choose shouting and screaming or withdrawing and ignoring me as the best way to get me to pay attention. Why she doesn't use her smiles, charm, humor and her gorgeous body to get my attention remains a mystery.
Tell your female listeners, Dr. Laura, to go with their strengths. I can't tell you how wonderful it is when my wife seems happy. Just simple smiles and pleasantries are so wonderful. Sometimes she tells me she appreciates me, but she doesn't understand that her anger and constant complaints negate it totally. I used to make good money in my business. I couldn't care less anymore. Though we have always enjoyed sex, I'm glad to sleep with my dog. It's a nice break and he hasn't complained yet.
If she would just smile and laugh. Be happy, for cryin' out loud. It seems that nothing in life is so devastating that a good woman shouldn't be able to be happy. Tell your female listeners to lead with their strengths. Use their God given charm and sensuality and lose the freakin' anger. It's such a turn off.
