I Was Blown Away
Dr. Laura
My husband is amazing!! I am so thankful for you and your book "The Proper Care & Feeding of Husbands." Reading your book has taught me how to be my husband's wife, lover and girlfriend.
This past March we had our first daughter, when she was five months old to our surprise we found out that we were pregnant again. It was a huge shock to both of us, I cried and then my husband hugged me and told me not to worry he will take care of all of us.
One month ago I had a miscarriage even though I was shocked when we found out I was pregnant, I was devastated when we lost the baby. Two weeks after the miscarriage my husband planned on going hunting he had been saving all year and was looking forward to hanging out with the "men". My husband came and told me that he was not going to go he wanted to be stay with me and our daughter, I told him no that he had been looking forward to hunting all year. He went hunting and had a good time.
Last Friday, my daughter and I went to do some errands and when we got back home my husband's truck was parked in the driveway, he was not supposed to be home from work for a few more hours. He met me at the door and he smelled wonderful... He had a huge smile on his face and when I looked behind him he had hung streamers from the all the lights, there were rose petals all the way up the stairs, on our bed there was a heart made out of rose petals, there were small candles all over the house and the bathtub was full of warm water with rose petals, bubbles and floating candles. I was blown away, he took the baby from me and said, we have had a crazy past few weeks and I appreciate all that you do for me and our daughter so I want you to have a relaxing afternoon. I enjoyed my relaxing afternoon and then later that night spent some alone time with my lover/husband.
If I would have been a whiny woman and made him stay home and not go hunting I would have never of had an amazing afternoon with my husband. Thanks for teaching me how to be a good wife.
A.
