Never Too Old

Dear Dr. Laura:

Recently,I had an appointment with Stan, the owner of a drapery business, for him to measure my windows. I told my husband of my plans and the approximate cost and he was very enthusiastic. We have needed them for a long time. On the day Stan arrived, I was quickly cleaning each room and had still enough time to fold clothes just before his arrival. I had taken most of the folded items to the proper drawers but had a pile of cuptowels I had not folded when the doorbell rang. I ran to the kitchen and shoved them in a drawer, then answered the door. Later that evening, my husband was pitching in, helping me clean up, I hand wash the pots and pans and he dries, and he reached into a drawer and pulled out a cuptowel. Clinging to the towel was a pair of my underpanties. He said "Is there something going on in the kitchen I need to know about?" I turned around and saw the panties clinging for life to the towel (static electricity still there) and I said "Oh, when Stan got here I had to hurry and hide them in the drawer"... After thinking about my answer, we both had a good laugh and my 67 year old darling husband swooped me up and gave me a big kiss and said "You are still my exciting woman"...I'm 71..Love is still needed and wonderful after all these years.

Sincerely,

Peggy
