Discussion On Faith
Dr. Laura,
I heard about your discussion on faith from my sister (who is on the fence with Christianity and I continue to pray for her). Your show really opened up an opportunity for a great discussion on faith. It sounded like it made a big impact on her.
I was sure to listen to the first hour of the show as it was repeated today. WOW! I was blown away by your candid discussion. Not many are as brave as you to put their beliefs and feelings out there like that, because we all know how many negative letters you’ll be getting. When you were done speaking about it, I couldn’t help but to be happy for you. It was obvious that this has been a difficult transition for you, so I will keep you in my prayers. But, I am happy for you because it sounds like you already know what you are missing, a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and the joy that that relationship brings. That is why I know that you will find it.
I think that you hit the nail on the head when you said that you have Christian friends who are close to God and feel so loved by God. I find it very saddening that some churches or religions put tradition first and the focus of a beautiful, loving relationship with Jesus second. It is God’s greatest gift to us!
Anyway, my reason for writing was simply to say, “Thank You”. You said so many things so perfectly. You are a wonderful witness to my sister and so many others out there who are seeking, as well.
Thank you for your daily support of stay-at-home moms, religion, children and family values. Sadly, some days it feels like there aren’t many of us who still see the importance of these things.
By the way, I’m 31 and I’m my kid’s mom!
