1. System Requirements
- Internet Connection (DSL or better recommended)
- Microsoft Windows (98SE, 2000, ME or XP)
- Mac OS X (10.2 Jaguar, 10.3 Panther or 10.4 Tiger)
- Windows Media Player or ITunes for playback
- iPod or MP3 player for on-the-go playback

2. Installing The Dr. Laura Media Center Software
• Click the download link for The Dr Laura Media Center installer.
• For Windows, click Run to launch the auto-setup wizard.
• For Mac, drag and drop The Dr Laura Media Center icon from the disk image on the desktop to your Applications folder. Double-click the icon, within the Applications folder, to launch the setup wizard.
• The Setup Wizard window will appear.
• Click the Next button to continue setup.
• Select where you want the Dr Laura Podcast files to download:
- Windows default location: C:/Documents and Settings/user/My Documents/My Music/The Dr Laura Media Center
- Mac default location: Users/user/Music/The Dr Laura Media Center
• To change the download location:
- Highlight the current location and click the Remove button.
- Click the Add button and select the new location to download the Podcast.
- Click the Open button to select that location.
- To add multiple download locations, click the Add button to setup more download locations.
• Click the Next button to continue setup.
• Enter your Streamlink account username & password.
• Click the Next button to continue setup.
• Select enable / disable: Notify me when a file finishes downloading
• Select enable / disable: Start Download Manager when the computer starts
• Select enable / disable: Temporarily disable downloads
• Click the OK button when finished.
To open the Downloader Settings again:
- Windows users: double-click The Dr Laura Media Center icon on the Desktop, Task Manager bar or in the Program Files folder.
- Mac users: click on The Dr Laura Media Center icon in the dock or double-click the icon in the Applications folder.
- Mac users: You may trash the DMG and Disk Image files, after installation is complete, that remained on the Desktop.

3. Automatic Downloading of the Dr. Laura Podcast
Dr Laura Podcast files will begin downloading the moment The Dr Laura Media Center is launched and will download them to your designated directory.
The file names will appear as the following example:
Dr Laura - Jan 16 2006 - Hour 1.mp3
Dr Laura - Jan 16 2006 - Hour 2.mp3
Dr Laura - Jan 16 2006 - Hour 3.mp3
The Dr Laura Media Center software will continue to check for new Podcast files once per hour as long as the program continues to operate.

4. Playing the Dr. Laura Podcast
By default, Windows will play the Dr Laura Podcast in Windows Media Player. Double-click on the Dr Laura Podcast hour of your choice for audio playback.

By default, Mac OS X will play the Dr Laura Podcast in iTunes. Double-click on the Dr Laura Podcast hour of your choice for audio playback.

5. Copying Dr. Laura Podcasts to an iPod or MP3 Handheld Player
iPod users:
• Launch the iTunes software.
• Connect the iPod to the computer.
• Open the directory location of your Dr Laura Podcast files.
• Drag and drop the Dr Laura Podcast files into the playlist pane to copy them to iTunes.
• Click on the File menu and select "Update iPod" to sync the iPod.

MP3 Handheld Player users:
• Launch Windows Media Player (version 10 recommended).
• Click the Sync tab.
• Drag the Dr Laura Podcast files into the Playlist pane.
• Connect the MP3 Handheld Player to the computer.
• Click "Start Sync" to sync the MP3 Handheld Player.

6. Removing The Dr. Laura Media Center software
Windows users:
• Click on the Start Menu.
• Select Settings, then select Control Panel.
• Click Add or Remove Programs.
• Select The Dr Laura Media Center program.
• Click the Remove button.
Mac users:
• Move The Dr Laura Media Center program (located in Macintosh HD / Applications folder) to the trash folder.
• Move The Dr Laura Media Center folder (located in the Macintosh HD/Users/user/Library/Applications Support folder) to the trash folder.
• Empty the trash folder to permanently remove The Dr Laura Media Center from your computer.
