Makes Sense to Me
08/23/2016

Hi Dr. Laura,

I'm listening to an old podcast where you are asking a father why today's parents spoil their grown kids and rob them of the process of earning the things they need in life.

I believe the answer is simple. DAYCARE.

From little itty bitty, these kids were put in daycare and never really given the opportunity learn to bond to their parents. The only way these parents feel connected to their kids is to buy them stuff. They missed all that bonding in the early years, so they are making up for it by letting them live at home forever. Very simplistic, I'm sure, but makes sense to me.

Blessings,

Terry
