About 30 years ago, after we had been married for a year, I decided to use sex as a weapon. I can't remember the offense, but I swore off sex for a week. We had been intimate every day previous to this.

About 4 days into the punishment, my husband laughed at me and said, "If you give punishment, you should use something that doesn't hurt YOU too. I was concerned, but now I can see that this is as bad as, and maybe worse, for you as it is for me."

Lesson learned. Sex was never a weapon in our marriage again.
