I STILL Have Work To Do

Dear Dr. Laura:

When I was a child, I was not taught how to "do the right thing."  My parents were never married, and they didn't really expect anything out of me.  They didn't even encourage me to go to school!  Although I was young, I knew in my heart that I didn't want to live the drug and alcohol-filled live of poverty as they did, so I went to school anyway.  I graduated and made a better life for myself, despite the struggles I went through as a child.

As an adult, I have been very proud of the fact that I dug myself out of a very deep ditch to get where I am today, but it wasn't until I started listening to your program that I realized I still have a lot of work to do.  Every day, I listen to your podcast, and you teach me how to make better choices for myself and for my family, and I am becoming a better wife and mom because of it.  I cannot thank you enough.

With love and warm wishes,

Sabrina
