Several weeks ago, you asked listeners why they do or do not believe in God. I believe in God because at 38 weeks and 5 days pregnant, I was playing cards with my 2 year old when out of the blue she walked over to me, gave me a hug and kiss and said “I love you Mom and God loves you.” I hugged her tight and shared with her Dad what I thought was just a sweet moment.
Two days later, I gave birth to a stillborn baby girl. I believe that earlier in the week my 2-year-old daughter was acting on God’s behalf. A week later, I heard you say to a caller “Being loving makes life more livable.” In the first few weeks after the stillbirth, life didn’t feel livable, but your words have continuously reminded me what is most important: loving my husband and our two-year-old daughter no matter how I feel in a given moment.
