My wife and I have four children, 3 years old and under. One day, she and I decided to risk “sleeping in” a little bit. At about 7:30 am, when we decided to wake up, we couldn’t find our daughter. Typically, she is busy screaming and squealing due to her brothers jumping on her or taking her dolls.
My wife went to find her, and discovered that our daughter had found the hand lotion and Vaseline and was slathering them onto FIFTY tortillas she had spread all over the playroom. I was still downstairs when I heard “WHAT IN THE HECK IS GOING ON UP HERE?” Then I heard a small voice answer “I making quesadillas, Mom.”
I tell these stories to friends and get scoffed at with comments like “Haven’t you ever heard of birth control?” or “You must be crazy to have more than one.” It makes me sad to think that people would rather not have these fun moments to look back on.
With only 10 more kids to be had, I feel like my 84 grandchildren will be easily obtainable before I am 60.
