I used to be consumed with the idea that I needed to be somebody after my bad childhood. But one of the many things I've learned while listening to your program is that itβs OK to be average or, as you say, βbetter than some, not as good as others.β I'm not the prettiest, even though I'm pretty. I'm not the smartest, even though I have a degree. I'm not the most athletic even though I train. I'm average and that's okay!
Another thing I've come to realize is that I can rise above past trials to be a good wife and mom, business owner, cook, writer and, most importantly, a good human being!
Thank you, Dr. Laura, for teaching me reason and rationality!
