Six years ago, I lost my loving, devoted husband of 51 years. Every time I hear callers complaining to you about their husbands and expecting a lot from them, but not giving back much, Iβve thought of calling you myself. I realize that some women are not blessed with good husbands. But the ones who are should treasure every day they can spend with him. Hug him, sloppy kiss him, tell him how much you love him, appreciate all that he does for you. Never let there be a reason to regret something you didnβt do or say. Life is short, and you donβt know when heβll be gone.
Thereβs nothing I wouldnβt do to have just one more hour with my beloved. And thatβs how we lived. I miss his hugs, his kisses, being told how beautiful I am and how good my food is. He always said, βMarriage is not 50-50. It should be 100-100!β
I hope that, if you read this, it will touch the hearts of women who are listening. Thank you.
