My husband and I have shared over 50 years of history, along with the commitment, love, respect, and memories of a lifetime together. He lets me be “me.” We’ve shared and joked about different fantasies for most of those years, but we both knew if we acted on them, they would be a threat to the kindness, caring, sharing, love and stability we had for a lifetime. He’s better than any fantasy.
When I look at him, I see the love in his thoughts, actions and eyes. I know he loves me with all his heart. Acting out a fantasy would not have the blessings that come from a relationship that took years to nurture and build. And NO fantasy could ever compare to the good feelings I get from loving him and feeling even more loved in return.
My husband was my biggest fantasy when I was seventeen, and he’s still the love of my life. A loyal, loving spouse is the greatest fantasy there is, and one who will never be found flitting from bed to bed.
