I married a US Marine, so we moved a lot. When he left the military, I got angry that we had to move yet again for a civilian job. He looked at this opportunity as an advancement for his career (and for our family). But I was just determined to stay where we had lived for six years and not uproot my life again.
I seriously considered divorcing him, but then I heard you on the radio. You were talking about life’s priorities and I felt like I got smacked in the head. My husband, and not a house, was my life. That was something that I hadn’t even thought about at the time.
