I made some dumb decisions in my early twenties, and I am eternally grateful that your strong voice was the one that stayed with me, even when I was rebellious and pushed aside the sound counsel of my parents. I’m now 39, with three “uninteresting” children (wink, wink) who I had the privilege to make with my exceptional husband of eleven years. I heard you recently remark on the importance of showing affection to your spouse, and how greatly it affects your children.
I am beyond fortunate to be married to a man who holds my hand in public, smooches me as I’m folding his underwear and gives me “love taps” as I’m putting away dishes. What’s more, every day he embraces me in front of the kids, reminding them that I am his beloved wife and that our marriage is the foundation for our collective joy.
I didn’t know that I could be so blissfully in love this many years in, but I believe that the combination of your guidance, my willingness to receive and apply it has helped to make this house a very happy home.
