My then-boyfriend and I started listening to you in 2018. I was dealing with work-related stress, and he was hesitant about getting married due to childhood experiences. Our relationship needed improvement, so we worked on it with professionals and by taking your Marriage 101 course. A year and a half later, he proposed.
We had a beautiful wedding this year, and at the altar he surprised me with this poem, which he called “You Are the One.” He even put in a Dr. Laura-ism, so I thought I’d share it with you:
You’re an angel sent from Heaven above
You’re the ray of sunshine that nourishes our garden of love.
My love for you has no measure,
And when I found you, I knew I’d found my treasure.
Tina Marie, I will love you endlessly,
And I know, without a doubt, that I chose wisely.
Today, our journey into forever has begun
