A year ago, my husband called you. At that time, he was working for his parents and was miserable, but he was afraid to leave because I was a stay-at-home mom and we had three kids under the age of eight. You told him to grow up, figure it out, and then you hung up on him. Boy, was that a wake-up call. That was the day that changed our lives.
Within 4 months of that phone call, he quit the business and was offered a position with a local city that offered a pension, stock options, weeks of vacations, and consistent hours, none of which he had working for his family. He also realized how much he had allowed his family to seep into our everyday lives, so he now puts our family (and me) first. I am so proud of this man. He walks taller and with more confidence than I have ever seen. It hadn’t occurred to me how much respect I had lost for him until these changes were made. I respect him much more now and am happy to be his girlfriend and his wife. Thanks to you, I now have the man I always knew my husband could be.
