Email of the Day: We Were Each Other’s First Kiss

Email of the Day: We Were Each Other’s First Kiss

I met my wife in elementary school, and we ended up being boyfriend and girlfriend in the seventh grade.  I wasn’t ready to settle down at age 12 (a fact I still hear about 30 years later), so our first “love” was brief, but memorable.  We were each other’s first kiss and I can still remember my heart racing and my not being able to sleep when I got home that night in 1989.

We went 15 years without seeing each other, and fate brought us back together, which led us to our wonderful marriage of 12 years.  When I think of my first kiss, it’s my wife I see.  My first meaningful kiss, and my heart, belongs to her.  More importantly, we get to live with the joy of knowing that not only were we each other’s first, but we will be each other’s last kiss.

Thanks to you, we have become better spouses who get to wake up next to each other wondering how we can make each other’s day brighter.

Eddie
