My husband and I just celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary. We didn’t listen to you way back then, because I was only 18, and he was 21 when we married. All we knew then was that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We struggled at times, but we’re still here and it’s been worth hanging in. We have two adult children and two grandchildren. We found that there’s not only one secret to being married and staying in love, but one story in particular comes to mind.
Back in 1992, my husband came home from work, we had dinner and were playing with our daughter. Out of the blue, my husband asked, “If I do the dishes, will I get more sex?” I looked at him like he had horns coming out of his head! That’s when he told me he found you on the radio, Dr. Laura, saying that if a wife were less tired, the husband would get more sex! It made so much sense when he explained. Even to this day, when he does the dishes, he gives me a wink and a nod!
