Early on in my marriage, I realized I didn’t choose wisely. I certainly wasn’t very wise at that time! I held onto my husband because I loved having a best friend. But fundamentally, so many things were wrong.
Two years ago, I started listening to you. I used your program to communicate better with him. By the time our kids left for college that year, we started to reconnect. He has finally decided to address his demons head-on.
I just can't tell you how much I credit your contribution to my husband’s mind shift! He fills up my gas tank and takes out the trash now — he used to see those as shared errands. It never occurred to him to do these things for me because he was my protector — he saw them as things I should do myself.
Our marriage of 25 years isn’t perfect, but it’s on a completely new track. I feel like we can go back to envisioning a long life together. We might just get there after all.
