You always talk about the little things we can do in our marriages to keep the spark alive. My husband and I play silly little games!
In church, we race to see who can turn to a hymn the fastest or if our pastor asks us to go to a specific passage in the Bible, whoever gets there first βwins.β Iβm sure we get weird looks, but when youβre trying to win bragging rights, itβs absolutely necessary to act like your Bible will go up in flames any second if you donβt get to those verses quickly enough.
Also, my husband gives me his special look β I will just turn to him randomly, and suddenly THE LOOK is in his eyes, and I know what he wantsβ¦β¦he wants to engage me in an epic staring contest! Or if weβre holding hands at a store or a movie theater, and his thumb starts getting a little rough, I know weβre starting a βthumb warβ and the battle is ON.
What the winner gets, beside bragging rights, is ultimately the sweet feeling of camaraderie with and affection from the other. I guess then weβre both ultimately the winners.
