My husband declared he had the perfect gift for me six months before our 23rd wedding anniversary. A week before our special day, he slyly asked if I had a laminator. I’m a homeschool mom — of course I have one!
Our anniversary rolled around, and his special gift appeared on the refrigerator. My husband had printed and laminated the words, "My wife is..." and "My husband is..." along with 50 descriptive words including strong, honest, trustworthy, hard worker, brave, kind, thoughtful, etc. Here are just some of the phrases we’ve come up with:
"My wife is FUN!" “My husband is STRONG!” “My wife is IRREPLACEABLE!”
This gift was so meaningful to me. It literally cost NOTHING. But the descriptive words he chose prove how much he pays attention to me. I felt appreciated for my roles as stay-at-home mom and wife.
My friends’ jealousy and envy are palpable when they see the gift. Our teens even roll their eyes when "SEXY" appears on the fridge — it’s priceless to see! No matter what, it’s our simple way of feeding our marriage
