When I heard you ask the question, “what are you going to do between now and death?” several times, I began thinking how I would answer that. I’ve always loved sewing, and I often spent time “de-stressing” from the day in front of my machine. So, I decided to take the leap and open a sewing and quilting store in my community!
I wanted to share an argument that my husband and I had the other day. He was micromanaging how I do things around the house instead of rolling up his sleeves and jumping in to help. I told him “Babe, you’re my teammate, not my coach!”
In a marriage, you need a teammate, not a coach. A coach’s job is to find everything that is going wrong and try to fix it. A teammate’s job is to play off each other’s strengths and look out for each other.
After that conversation, my husband and I immediately changed and started to work as a team, looking out for and helping each other. I love my forever teammate and I’m grateful to be married to a wonderful man.
