Thank You For Helping Me With The Guilt of My Father's Sexual Abuse

Tom called previously to talk to Dr. Laura about his feelings of guilt for not appreciating the good things his father did when he was a child, despite being sexually and physically abusive. Though he originally became defensive at Dr. Laura's words, Tom broke down and sobbed after the first call. He called back to thank Dr. Laura for opening his eyes and giving him a sense of freedom that enabled him to recognize that his father's behavior was not okay.
