My career as a Deputy Sheriff was always important to me. I struggled to get pregnant for years, and law enforcement was a great distraction. After finally having my first son, I attempted to go back to my job while my husband stayed home. After all, I had worked so hard to get where I was.
That lasted all of one month. I hated it! I was desperate to be with my baby. It didnβt matter that my child was at home with his wonderful father. I had wanted him for so long, and I was missing out!
Thankfully, my husband was able to find a job that allowed me to quit. It was a difficult decision financially, but the best weβve ever made. I've been home full-time for 3 1/2 years, and we now have two sons. Itβs harder than law enforcement, but much more fulfilling. These boys are so much fun, and I get to see all the silliness that comes from them on a daily basis. I wouldnβt have it any other way.
Thank you so much for your advice!
