As an avid listener, I adore your show and your advice. I thought you’d get a little chuckle out of a list I put together. It’s called "Dr. Laura’s Dictionary and Phrases.” Here it is:
1. Shack up - two individuals without any commitment or marriage sharing a place that they call 'home.’
2. Unpaid whore - a woman who gets naked for a man who won’t lay his life down for her.
3. Psychobabble - therapy words misused in daily conversation and when talking with Dr. Laura.
4. Toxic - a word that describes harmful chemical dumps or waste — NOT relationships.
5. Boundaries - A fence that holds cattle in place.
6. Daycare - a place where parents dump their children to be unloved all day.
7. Nanny - a person hired to take care of children who does NOT love them like a mom or dad.
8. Guilt - a feeling that someone ONLY has after doing something immoral, illegal, or unethical.
9. Limp Chick - a woman who (figuratively) has balls (in her case, ovaries), but does not use them.
10. Ugly children – an idiom used by Dr. Laura and her fan in response to callers bragging about their “beautiful and talented” children.
