I can think of lots of reasons NOT to be happy. Anything from being adopted to coping with my disability, which is blindness.
In spite of these things, I have chosen to be optimistic and determined to live a wholesome life. These experiences have made me the strong person I am today. When you're in the midst of turmoil, it is hard to be positive because you hardly see a way out. However, when I was going through rough times, I always knew if I could just push through, there was a better life out there.
I have chosen to be happy and to make something great out of my life. Iβm now married and raising two adorable children. I have learned how to adapt to my disability and to not let it stop me from living. I am always looking for new adventures and ways to make a difference in other people's lives.
It's not money or materialistic things that make me happy in life. What makes me happy is overcoming all I have gone through and turning it into my success story.
