Last year on Valentine’s Day, my husband and I made simple plans at home. I greeted him at the front door in a little black dress he bought me. I even put on a little more makeup and fragrance than usual. He would not stop staring at me all evening — despite the fact I messed up dinner!
Later that evening, my husband revealed he’d been very stressed on his way back home. His neck and back were in pain from the hour-long commute. “But the moment I saw you in that dress…” he said to me.
